PLOT:
The serial killer Abattoir is dead, because Batman let him die, choosing not to rescue him, and it isn't too long before the police discover the body of Graham Etchison, whom Batman could also have saved. Commissioner Gordon confronts Batman, who refuses to see anything wrong with his actions and methods, embarking on a night of brutal crime-fighting. Gordon gives up on Batman, even as the vigilante upgrades his costume one last time.
