Across town, Simon and Rachel begin their "far-seeing" incantation. Rachel stands by while Simon drinks the special potion and reads the incantation. Suddenly a large smoky cloud rises and Simon is lifted into the air by it's semi-translucent tentacles. After a brief explosion of light, Simon falls to the floor. Rachel rushes to his side and he assures her that he is quite fine - the incantation was a success. Detective Kirk steps out of the shadows and reveals to Simon that he knows more about Simon's situation than he had previously let on.

After speaking in a long dead tongue, Kirk furthers his point by raising his service pistol to his temple and pulling the trigger. Rachel screams as the pistol crack echoes through the room but is relieved when she sees that Kirk is still standing after the shot. He calmly asks her to remove the slug from his skull. Rachel obliges and upon finishing (what she views as) her bizarre initiation ritual she wants to know where the team is going next. Kirk and Simon refuse to let he come with - saying that her status as a mere mortal would only put her in greater danger. Simon uses his far seeing ability to locate the Mendo soap warehouse and the two begin to make their way there.

Elsewhere in the city, Neal, the original Mendo soap truck driver has survived the ordeal and is relaying to Detectives Hughes and Wren his experience. He gives the two directions to the warehouse where the Soap is being stored. Not wanting to involve Gordon for fear that Batman may arrive and steal their credit, the two Detectives pursue the lead on their own and make their way to the warehouse without backup. The arrive on the scene and pry the freshly applied boards from the door and make their way inside.

Luckily for them, Kirk and Simon arrive at the same time and save them from the Geo-Populus members waiting inside. Simon's far-seeing helps him uncover the nefarious plot and they race to inform as many people as possible to stay away from the Mendo Soap. The detectives try to use their contact with Jack Ryder to get the information on the airwaves while Simon and Kirk race to contact everyone they can. Kirk calls Beth and tells her what is happening. He asks her to call Rachel but as Beth's call goes unanswers it becomes apparent that it's too late - Rachel has already been infected!
