PLOT:
Lex Luthor is beginning to get organized, splitting people into groups - those with engineering or science backgrounds and those without when the Joker interrupts. It becomes obvious to all inhabitants that they have a choice of leaders - the benevolent dictator (Luthor) or the freedom loving mad-man (Joker). Luthor and Joker begin arguing when they are all attacked by another of Salvation Run's underground monsters.

Joker teams with Gorilla Grodd to take down the monster and reminds everyone exactly who it was that saved their lives. Joker and Luthor agree to work together for the time being but things begin to unravel quickly as arguments erupt over who is doing the most work. Joker once again uses the discourse to his advantage by playing up Luthor's totalitarian aspects to the crowd. Iron Cross tries to step in and quiet the Joker but Joker simply pulls out a gun and blows his brains out. The mutiny starts immediately.

After a brief battle between the two factions, Joker and those who agree with him (including Gorilla Grodd) part ways with Luthor's camp. After all of the in-fighting is settled, Blockbuster (whom everyone believed to be dead) snuck away from the group. While safely away from the group Blockbuster reverts to his natural state - as Martian Manhunter. The JLA-member begins to record his thoughts into his transmitting device. It is day 13 and everything on Salvation Run has gone straight to hell. Can the Manhunter save the day?
