PLOT:
Martian Manhunter is continuing his observations and appears to be in contact with none other than fellow JLA member, Batman. Catwoman observes this from the sidelines.

After Bane and Deadshot return to Camp Luthor with food their loyalties are put into question by Carmen who accuses them of being spies of the Checkmate agency that placed them all in exile. Luthor steps in and reminds the group that at one point or another, for one reason or another, everyone there had worked for "the other side." Lady Vic questions the authenticity of the Blockbuster (Martian Manhunter) but is dismissed by Blockbuster who simply walks away.

Things do not appear to be going much better in Joker's camp. People are starving and complaining about the lack of food. Bolt attacks Joker but is stopped by Kid Karnevil who claims to only be doing so in order to protect the hide he plans on wearing as a cape one day. Grodd interjects and tells Bolt that if he wants something to eat he should go and hunt down some food for the tribe himself.

At this point Monsieur Mallah (with Brain) approaches Gorilla Grodd and asks to speak to his fellow ape in private. Grodd obliges but is offended that such an "abomination" would ever dare think himself on the same level as the former resident of Gorilla City. Mallah is likewise offended and a fight breaks out. Grodd tackles Mallah and bashes in Mallah's skull with Mallah's own counterpart - Brain!

Joker steps in and applauds Grodd's proactive activities. However if there's one thing Joker hates - it's sharing. He sends Grodd flying off a cliff down into a deep gorge below with a single wing-tipped boot to the chest.

Elsewhere on the island, Vandal Savage has split off from Camp Luthor in search of Abra Kadabra's aforementioned safe zone. His counterparts (all women) are treated to an explanation of how Savage plans on re-building his own utopian society free of disorder and with no need for silly codenames. At the top of the hill he welcomes his female companions to a beautiful serene looking oasis.
