PLOT:
A third wave of villains consisting of (among others) Iron Cross, Tar Pit, Metallo, Hellhound, Rag Doll, and Bonny and Carmen of the Body Doubles. This new group is sent out to scavenge for food and weapons from the underground lairs of this prison planet. Unfortunately for them, every time they near an entrance to one of the lairs, they are attacked by the monstrous inhabitants of the planet as the entrance to the lair disappears underground.

It is during one of these scavenging trips that Hellhound is sliced nearly in half by one of the beasts. Iron Cross tries to convince the others to leave him but Carmen and Bonny insist they take him with. As they are walking back to the main camp when they are attacked by a pack of "lion lizards." Carmen and Bonny reveal their intentions to not be so pure as they use Hellhound's bleeding carcass as a diversion to allow them all to escape back to camp. The delirious Hellhound is ripped apart by the beasts as the rest escape safely.

Back at the camp, Kid Karnevil is revealing to Joker his motivation for being so interested in Joker. He plans on learning as much as he can from the clown before killing Joker and wearing his skin as a cape. While this discussion is going on, Psimon is professing to the others his plans for building Salvation Run into the utopian society it could be.

Joker seizes this moment to make an example of Psimon. He uses a rock to smash in Psimon's skull and tells everyone that the first order of any successful society is to remove all dreamers and idiots from the pack. After this vulgar display of power the other meta villains begin immediately scavenging for any bit of food and pledge their allegiance to the Joker (mostly out of fear).

The Checkmate agency (along with the Suicide Squad) have secured their final batch of transportees consisting of Catwoman, Bane, Lex Luthor, Chemo and Blockbuster. One final addition is made as Commander Flagg decides that Deadshot has become too unstable and decides to exile him to the Prison Planet as well. As the boom tube transports the group to the death world, Deadshot vows revenge.

Once on the planet Luthor immediately begins to ask who is in charge because he wants to know exactly who he will be replacing. Luthor does not expect everyone to follow him just because he has shown up. Instead he bands the inmates together under one promise - ESCAPE.
