PLOT:
Following the events of Amazons Attack and the death of the Flash, the Checkmate organization has decided to finally do away with all of the super-villains of Earth. Among they villains sent to exile on the distant planet are Captain Cold, Abra Kadabra, Weather Wizard, Mirror Master and Heat Wave. As the five rogues make their way across the arid plane they begin to work together to fend off the monsters that attack them regularly..

After deciphering the primitive language of one of the creatures inhabiting the island, Abra Kadabra learns of a so-called "safe zone" in which the beasts and traps of the planet have been disabled. While the rogues are arguing over their next course of action another boom tube lands in the distance. They decide to go and investigate the new arrivals in hopes that they were sent under better conditions that they were (with supplies for instance).

Amongst the new arrivals are the Joker, Clayface, Mr. Freeze, Psimon, Killer Croc, Cheetah and Kid Karnevil (who forms quite the affinity for the clown prince of crime). The Joker is beginning to band his group together when the rogues show up.

As the group begins to get their bearings, Darkseid and Desaad are revealed to be watching them from a monitor on Apokolips. The villains were sent to this planet because Checkmate believed it to be a safe environment free of dangerous elements. Darkseid reveals that this is exactly what they were meant to believe as he had rendered all dangers dormant while the planet was being investigated. Things seem to be going according to Darkseid's plan.
