PLOT:
Batman stops a young woman, Viola Vane, from killing herself. He learns that Viola is expecting her parents to arrive in town where they will learn that she is not a great actress like she has told them. Batman agrees to help by convincing the citizens of Gotham to pretend Viola is a star while her parents are in town.

The Dynamic Duo also stops a crook from stealing the jewels Viola has been loaned for the occasion. Viola is then allowed to perform the lead in a play in which she was the understudy. Her performance is excellent, so the director offers the role permanently.

PLOT:
Lee Travis tries to gather evidence that a man named Craig has stolen thousands of dollars from the city. He visits the office of the commissioner involved on the case and finds Craig's financial ledger. Lee takes the ledger which seems to be in order until it is accidentally exposed to ulta-violet light. Lee then discovers that the ledger was doctored to hide the stolen money.

Lee phones his newspaper and tells them to print the story. He then visits Craig as the Crimson Avenger. Craig attacks him, but the Avenger prevails. He the leaves the thief and the ledger for the police.

PLOT:
Slam is hired to guard a charity benefit party. He spots a crook trying to steal a necklace. While he goes after the crook, another gang kidnaps a party guest, Mr. Evans, a bank vice-president. Slam tries to track down the kidnappers after his wife and the bank president deliver the ransom. He discovers that Evans staged his own kidnapping in order to use the ransom money to cover the money he stole from the bank. Slam exposes his scheme and is rewarded by the bank president.
