PLOT:
Porter, an art collector, buys a jade box from a curio shop. When he returns home, Porter is murdered for the contents of the box. Batman’s investigation leads him to Loo Chung, Chinatown’s unofficial leader. The box contained a mythical ring once belonging to Ghengis Khan. The ring allows Chung to control the underworld. Batman stops Chung’s plan with the help of Robin, then destroys the ring.

Lee Travis and Wing attend the circus. Star performer Deanna cancels her performance. Just as Lee begins to investigate, Deanna changes her mind and appears for the show. Another circus employee threatens to kill her. Lee takes action as the Crimson Avenger and catches the potential murderer. He forces the man to confess that he robbed the circus and was seen by Deanna. He then threatened to kill her if she didn't leave town, but the girl refused. The thief is then turned over to police.

PLOT:
Slam and Shorty attend a baseball game in which a pitcher, Howard, is shot. Howard and his teammate Ace Wilkins are linked to gambler Lucky Arthur, so Slam investigates. He sees Wilkins approach Lucky, then has to fight off several of the gambler's henchmen. Slam eventually discovers that Howard was working with Lucky to throw the game because he had gambling debts. He shot himself with a hidden gun in his glove to make it seem like he was honest. Wilkins was trying to convince Lucky leave Howard alone. Slam exposes the scheme and ensures that the team can compete honestly.
