PLOT:
Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson attend a carnival, but Bruce notices that there are slot machines set-up. He talks to the owner, Colonel Dawes, an old friend, but finds an imposter instead. Batman and Robin investigate, exposing a gang of racketeers who have taken over the carnival. The Dynamic Duo free the real Dawes, then chase the gang around the carnival until everyone is apprehended.

Lee Travis visits the home of Wilfred Van Dorn, the richest boy in America, to obtain some photographs for his newspaper. He witnesses two thugs trying to abduct Wilfred, so Lee takes action. He knocks out the crooks and saves the boy. Wilfred's chauffeur then delivers them to the police. Lee, in the guise of the Crimson Avenger, makes sure the crooks don't escape before returning to his office to publish his photos of the adventure.

PLOT:
Slam Bradley investigates the murder of broadway singer Marla Prescott. Her boyfriend Dean Dare seems a likely suspect, but Slam has no evidence against him. After stopping two jewel thieves sent by the maid to rob the dead woman's apartment, Slam speaks to gossip reporter Lester Pry. Someone then tries to kill Pry. They fail, and he tells Slam that the stage manager Roberts is Prescott's ex-husband and a sharpshooter. Roberts is caught and confesses to the crime.
