The next morning Bruce comes to and tries to calm Mona. After she tries to flee the facility he brings her back inside and to the lab where he reveals that he plans on using the laws of physics against the gem stone he can never seem to be rid of. Before he can start his experiment however Crispus sends him to Gotham City to stop the Huntress. Helena, possessed by the evil
of Eclipso attempts to murder the mobster whose put a hit on his own daughter (a friend of Helena's) after she testified against him. Crispus and Bruce show up just in time to
cleanse Helena of Eclipso's evil. Spectre then visits the mobster and punishes him for his horrible deeds.
Meanwhile in Metropolis, William Hanson has snuck away from Crispus and Bruce and sets up shop in Suicide Slum. There he calls upon the different ghosts occupying the area with the intention of forming a ghost gang.
Back in Coast City at the home of Rosario Corrotto, the former heroes are shown exactly what they risked their lives to retrieve. With the help of a magi priest, Corrotto has taken the different shards of the Heart of Darkness and completely re-built it.
