PLOT:
When two Wayne Foundation ecologists disappear in the Australian Outback, Batman heads out to find them. The ecologists had been studying the strange phenomenon of the
Methuselah Moths - moths which
lived well past their normal expected lifetimes.
While investigating, Batman finds that the moths aren't the only long lived creatures around that particular area. Working on the tip from a group of well aged local townsfolk, Batman finds himself looking for a man that has apparently been alive since the days of the original
Australian penal colonies. Along the way he is attacked by a group of Demon's Head ninjas leading Batman to believe he is on the trail of something which someone does not want him to find.
Batman's hunch turns out to be a good one as nearby, Talia is teaching Damian of his grandfather's history at the
behest of Ra's Al Ghul's oldest and loyalist servant, the albino White Ghost. Talia reads to Damian Ra's entire recorded life story, taken from his personal memoirs. White Ghost has discovered a way to maintain Ra's al Ghul's
life-force within the
mysterious waters of a nearby Lazarus Pit. He secretly plans to use young Damian's body as a vessel in which to transfer the Demon's life force into. Upon learning of this, Damian and Talia rebel and flee.
After locating the ancient Australian he sought out after, Batman is lead by the old man to the waters where he distills his moonshine. The water is of course connected to the White Ghost's Lazarus Pit and it is in the waters that Batman locates the bodies of the
ecologists. He follows the source
of the water back to White Ghost's lair. There he does battle with the albino servant ending with the White Ghost tumbling into the
maddening Lazarus Pit.
Batman returns to Gotham with the manuscript containing Ra's Al Ghul's history and has it stored in his archives.
