Alfred Pennyworth (Young Justice)

Originally aspiring to be an actor, Alfred Pennyworth became Bruce Wayne's loyal friend and protector after the child's parents were gunned down in front of him. He later aided Bruce in his quest for justice and revenge, becoming his most trusted ally when Bruce became the Batman. He frequently despairs at Bruce/Batman's habit of pushing away those closest to him, but has remained loyal to him. His thespian skills have frequently served Batman well, but his most important role is as Bruce's friend.

• A former field medic, Alfred is capable of performing minor surgery and stitching wounds for Batman. His skills of disguise and acting mean that he can work undercover on cases for Batman, and his ability for vocal mimicry means he can impersonate Bruce Wayne on the telephone convincingly.

• Shotgun. Alfred is the only member of the Bat-Family that Bruces allows to carry a firearm.

Alfred has appeared in every form of Batman media including the Serials, the Television shows and animated series..
