You like mine, don't ya? Everybody loves mine. I guess they agree.
Anyway, the link has to have those [img], make sure to hightlight the link to the pic before you click the [img] button. That should work, if it doesn't, then maybe its a bad link or something.

I haven't seen this one yet, but I've heard mixed reviews. The biggest complaints seem to be a lack of chassis and interior details. |

Umm, for a car like that, I doubt people would go "what it doesn't this?!" and throw it away into the garbage. Besides, you wants to play with it?

Heh, nothing ever gets thrown away with me, but it very well might end up stripped and rebuilt. |

Yeah, that looks great. I want one, heck I want two, I'll put one away to keep. Now Hot Wheels needs 1:18 scale version of the other movie (BF and B&R) Batmobiles too.

Well, the BF one; yes. And maybe the '60s one. But the B&R one; no. That wouldn't sell.

Very nice. I'll consider getting this, though they'll probably not be around for long.

I'm still holding out for a 1/24 - 1/25 version. Every other movie, three Johnny Lightning cars, two Corgi cars, and the Danbury Mint Batmobiles were all in these scales, I can't believe that no one will make a Tumbler to go with them. |

I picked one up at Sharper Image, $32.95. It's beautiful, one of the nicest die casts I seen.
While the underside is relatively plain with no detail, it does have a nicely detailed interior with two seats, controls, computer screens and such that does not come out in the pictures.
The pictures do show that it opens like the one in the movie, but I can?t seem to get mine to open. I can push back the windshield but the top does not seem to want to pop up very much and slide back, despite the fact I can see that it does in the pictures. There are no instructions on how to open it so I?m trying to see if I can figure it out without breaking it. This Batmobile does not have side windows like others do. Perhaps that?s so small fingers can reach in a push whatever it take to open it. I can see the mechanism and can see it sort of work.
The Batmobile is BLACK, not purple like the Mattel one, and has gold and silver accents. The detail is so accurate that the tanks just in front of the rear wheels are visible. I had seen these in pictures of the real car, but had no point of reference for them. The same holds true for the side vents just in front of the rear wheels. Shine a light on them and you can see a mesh and detail behind the mesh.
Like the other 1:18 scale Hot Wheels Batmobile before it, Sharper Image has them now, but mass retail should have it later for slightly less. I?ll have to work up a review and some pictures shortly.

Cool, that sounds much better than some of the early previews. On early reviews like that , sometimes I can't tell if people are simply cautioning against things to watch out for, or if they are really unhappy with it. Soundss pretty good, though, I can't wait to see your review.
I read that there was a plastic loop band holding the top from opening, and you needed to cut that before the top could open all the way. |
