The web is in frenzy! The Joker has revealed himself…or has he? Over the weekend Batman Fans found themselves going to http://ibelievein...ttoo.com, only to find a mangled image that would require hundreds of visitors to see the full image. Upon entering your email address you were treated to another glimpse of the puzzle.
The full image as now been revealed and the web is wondering, is this yet another fake? I can’t say for sure. Only Warner Brothers can answer that, and as of yet, they aren’t saying. Unlike the last fake image where they said beyond a shadow of a doubt that is was fake.
Let’s look at both sides of it.
There are tons of people that can create a site like http://ibelievein...ttoo.com, and many people might just to get a kick out of it. The site was registers after the official site http://ibelievein...dent.com, and when you go to http://ibelievein...ydent.com the address redirects to http://ibelievein...bros.com. In the case of http://ibelievein...nttoo.com it does not redirect to a Warner Brothers site. The site was registered under a proxy, so again, we can not know for sure. Brilliant.
Batman is a huge property for Warner Brothers, and with The Dark Knight due out in a year, marketing will, in time come. But how would you do it? After fake pictures of The Joker, would you release a full body shot? I sure wouldn’t. What it looks like WB did has got to be one of the smartest and best things they could. Very little. The created a site, and only advertised it through a small California comic shop by placing joker cards there with the saying, “I Believe in Harvey Dent Too.” The people at Warner are smart enough to know that someone would try to type that into the web. Thus providing us with a mystery, and a tease of what we’ve been wanting. A look at The Joker.
If this isn’t real, then props to the person or person behind it. And Warner Brothers, if this is a fake, we deserve a real shot now. However, if it is real, then props go to Warner Brothers for providing us with a small tease that keeps us wanting more.

The domain was purchased 3 days before I Believe In Harvey Dent went online; so whoever did it knew about the other site way in advance. Next, it's a Flash site that loads images a pixel at a time; so whoever did it is a good programer. Next, this site took sent thousands of E-mails in under a day, so it's a big-ass E-mail server. The image itself has a high resolution and no visibe signs of manipulation; so if it is a manipulation, it's a pro. Not to mention that Jett, who doesn't say somethings real unless he's 100% certain, says it's real beyond the shadow of a doubt.
So, either it's real or it's a fake by an advaced flash programer; with an E-mail bot to send thousands of e-mails in one day; who also happens to be a pro photo manipulator; who knows enough insiders to find out about I Believe in Harvey Dent in advance; and has influence over said insiders so he can get them to lie to Jett and convince him it's real.
You deside, but I'm banking on the real.

The thought plickens...
Amongst the Ha's are the letters to spell "See you in December"... The advertising company that did the I love bees stunt for Halo 2 bought the domain seeyouindecember.com today. I thought this was an I love bees inspired stunt; but it's the guys who did I love bees.
And my previous comments weren't to you in particular, Chris; I just wanted to get that off my chest after reading all the doubters stuff.

I think it's real.... as someone already pointed out, they had to know about it in advance... so unless there was a leak...
As for my thoughts on the picture... I love it. It's dark, different, and THE JOKER. Also... in that picture I posted above, is the last pic of the joker (with makeup) an actual one that was posted, or is that something a fan cooked up? I've only seen the other pic of him all over the internet and I wasn't here last weekend, so I missed it all..
see you in december
"I went around the world, searched in all the shadows. And there is something out there in the darkness, something terrifying, something that will not stop until it gets revenge... Me"
Check out my fan fics!!!

That last pic in your post is a photomanip. It looks as though someone dislikes the "lip-stick" strethcing from cheek to cheek, so they edited it.

I want to see him two ways.. first being all messy, stright jacket ala The Batman.. then turn more into the Alex Ross type..

If he's going to wear a straight jacket, I'd prefer a moldy white one ala Dead End as opposed to a tie-dye one ala The Batman.
And in contrast to your idea, I'd like The Joker to start out as a highly inteligent sociopath with more of a clean cut look ala Ross. Then I'd like to see him decend into a crazed psychopathic mess; in a tatered, loose fitting tux, with messed up green hair and the official make-up that started this conversation.

I love the way they're going about this gradual reveal, it's very Joker-esque in its method. The only thing I don't dig is the messy lipstick application. Still, just because it's in this single image, doesn't mean he'll look like that all through the movie.

Since you brought it up . . .
My favorite characterization is Mark Hamill's in B:TAS. It has a mix of silly, intense, crazy, frightening, and unpredictable in a semi-logical manner.
It's a characterization that works well.
I'm looking forward to the new film's take on the character. It might rank up there with Mark's version, though will be markedly different.
Sum Nox!
