PLOT:
Simon removes his mask and tells Beth and Rachel that his "father" made him. He says that his head came off but it was attached to another body and he lived again. Rachel and Beth delicately try to explain to Simon that despite whatever he might have gone through - in the "real" world, when you cut someone's head off, they're dead. They don't come back. This actually causes Simon a great deal of grief as he suddenly realizes that all of the people he had beheaded are dead now. Not just injured as he would be. Simon, distraught at this news, runs away to find the man who caused this permanent damage to his beloved Kitty.

Tom is driving Vincent down to the precinct and Vincent threatens to tell Tom's bosses exactly what Tom really is. This is just enough of a distraction so that Tom does not notice when Vincent slips out of his handcuffs. Vincent uses the cuffs to choke Tom who then crashes the car directly into a newsstand.

Before Vincent can kill Tom there is a sudden loud ripping noise from above. Vincent looks up to find Simon perched on top of the car, ripping the roof off like the lid on a can of sardines. Vincent tries to run but Simon catches him and throws him through the stained glass window of a church and then back through the front door and back onto the street.

As Simon closes in Vincent begs Tom to not let the vigilante kill him. Tom comes to his senses and tries to step in and save Vincent. This sets in motion a weird game of tug of war between Simon (with one arm) and Tom (with the other arm). The two eventually pull so hard that they rip both arms off of Vincent who runs away screaming. The detached body parts begin to burn up and Simon and Tom decide to go some place less crowded to talk.

While Simon is burying Kitty, Detective Kirk reveals his scars to Simon and says that he and Simon have the same "father." For whatever reason this triggers an angry reaction from Simon who insists that he has no father. Simon runs off into the sewers screaming.

Back at the mansion headquarters, the Geo-Populus cult are holding another strange ritual. One of the hooded cult members hands a container to another hooded member and tells him to get the item to a person named Jefferies at the plant. After handing the container off the member removes his hood and asks for water. Someone hands him a glass and almost immediately after drinking the water his eyes turn bloodshot and he falls over dead.
