PLOT:
Theorizing that the planet and it's odd mechanical inhabitants are meant to serve as a training ground for new Parademons, Luthor finds himself and his compatriots stuck in the middle of a giant sized battle between the two factions. The villains do their best to fight off the invading Parademons. However, after watching some of their companions (including Solomon Grundy) fall before their eyes they decide that the almost complete warp device isn't safe where it is. Catwoman tells Luthor about Vandal Savage's "safe zone" location and Luthor orders Warp to teleport them to the safe zone immediately.

Luckily for Savage, the other villains could not have picked a better time to show up as his would-be concubines have learned of his lecherous intentions and had begun turning on him. Using the left-over alien machinery scattered around the island and the nuclear power of Chemo, Luthor makes some last minute modifications to the machine. When no one is looking, Luthor calls upon his secret partner, the supposedly deceased Gorilla Grodd to finish the last step in the process.

Grodd agrees but decides to take care of some unfinished business with the Joker. Grodd confronts the Clown Prince of Crime for trying to kill him and the two begin fight one another but are stopped short when the Parademons re-discover them and begin shooting at them. Luthor tells Grodd to begin gathering the others beginning with Warp. While the others are defending the machine, Warp wanders off, claming he has somewhere he needs to be.

A short time later, Luthor connects the final cable and the machine and as promised, a swirling portal back to Earth appears. Luthor urges them all to enter the portal single file. As Joker makes his exit he thanks Kid Karnival for all of his help by slapping the evil pipsqueak and reminding him that no one likes a copycat.

As the others are returning home, Luthor steps away and makes a point of thanking those that made the ultimate sacrifice so that the trip home could be possible. Inside a small room connected to the warp device are several villains (including Warp and the 'traitors' Thunder and Lightning) whom Luthor had instructed Grodd to take hold over and hook themselves into the device. Luthor explains that without them sacrificing their energies, the machine never would have had enough juice to get them all home. Luthor defends his actions by saying that he is not the villain - it was the so called 'heroes' who decided to be judge jury and executioner and send them to this planet that were to blame.

With one foot through the portal, Luthor turns and proclaims his victory over the planet. He screams to the heavens that he had left the Parademons one final "goodbye kiss." As Lex exits the planet a gigantic explosion erupts and the entire planet is engulfed in flames killing all of the Parademons and leaving very few of the remaining creatures alive to feast on the flesh of the fallen.

Finally, as the dust settles and the flames die down the villain's forgotten prisoner is left standing alone, barely alive. What will become of the Martian Manhunter??
