PLOT:
After of week of holding the Martian Manhunter captive in a burning prison cell, the members of the now unified camp are in disagreement with what to do with him. The Rogues, having already murdered one JLA member, urge the others not to kill their prisoner. When Thunder and Lightning are caught red handed by Bane trying to feed the Martian, the camp dissolves into another disagreement over what to do with the traitors. Joker seizes this moment to once again publicly question Luthor's leadership going so far as to slap Luthor across the face.

Vandal Savage has been using Phobia to keep the other women under his control and training them night and day. Phobia questions Vandal about their methods but Vandal reminds her that they are only using her mind control powers until everyone falls in line with his plan - then the two of them will reign over the planet as King and Queen. This is apparently a promise he has made more than once however as Cheetah returns from her battle with Catwoman (see Catwoman #78) bruised and battered and Savage promises her queen hood as well.

Back at the main camp, Luthor and Joker engage in a bloody battle for control over the camp. Joker defeats Lex and prepares to murder him when suddenly several more boom tubes begin lighting up the sky all over the planet. The natives flee and a battle weary Luthor commands everyone to their posts to defend the camp. Martian Manhunter is left exposed in his fiery cell while Apokoliptian parademons flood the skies and attack the villains.
