PLOT:
Nightwing pays a visit to Northbranch, Minnesota where Carol Bermingham resides under the witness protection program. Her death faked to throw off the gang members who had wanted her dead, she answers the door wearing a wig and holding a pistol only to be greeted by Nightwing carrying Pizza and soda. The two share dinner before Nightwing heads off to converse with Carol's would be killer, Two-Face in Arkham. There, the man whose psychosis played such a pivotal role in Dick's first days as Robin, promises that their feud is far from over.

The next day, Dick meets up with Deb in Fort Tryon Park. Having suffered burns resulting from Two-Face's acid attack on New York, Deb has decided to leave the city - and Dick - behind. The two part ways on good terms and Dick once again finds himself alone.

Later that night Dick travels to Metropolis and meets up with Superman and John Stewart at Valhalla Cemetery. Following the grave-robbing exploits of Dr. Creighton Kendall and Talia al Ghul, the JLA have decided to re-locate the corpses of their fallen comrades to a special protected vault underneath the Hall of Justice.

Having re-interred his those who have fallen before him, Dick goes from the depths of the Hall of Justice to the top of the Earth - traveling to the stratosphere. There he proceeds to break both world records and personal records by skydiving back to Earth. Touching down he's greeted by Tim and Alfred and although Bruce could not be there to witness his accomplishment, Tim feels satisfied.

Finally the remaining Bat-Family members retire to Wayne Manor where they enjoy dinner and a movie. As the closing scene of The Magnificent Seven plays on the screen, the three warriors take in the parallels between the lives of the movie's three surviving vigilante gunmen and themselves.
