PLOT:
After returning home from destroying Kendall's soldier factory, Dick has resumed his thrill-seeking ways. Diving from new heights both literally and metaphorically, Dick lands on the ground to find his new love Deb waiting for him and the two embark for a charity dinner together.

Meanwhile, halfway across the world, new life is once again beginning for the Mother of the Great Ten. Unfortunately, as always, this also means the end of life for the previous Ten. After burying another batch of children born with amazing abilities but doomed to live life at an accelerated pace, the Mother gives birth to yet another set. She watches them from afar, pained at the fact that she can never get to know the children she brings into the world. While lamenting about the arrival of a new suitor she is attacked by masked invaders and knocked unconscious.

Back in New York City, Talia arrives at Dick's office and confronts him face to face. Dick reiterates his message perfectly clear - Talia is to immediately stop producing the undead soldiers with Kendall or else Nightwing is coming after her. She asks him to reconsider and says that she is only doing it to protect herself from her father's soldiers that she fears will soon be out to kill her in order to "cleanse" the Al Ghul bloodline. Dick refuses to listen.

Before leaving, Talia makes mention of the "acceptable" casualties that always seem to come about in a war such as this. Before Dick can challenge Talia's statement she exits the office, leaving behind a message of her own - a picture. Dick is shocked to see that the picture Talia handed him is in fact a picture of his new love, Deborah! Will Dick risk his new love's life in order to pursue the Daughter of the Demon?
