PLOT:
Nightwing does battle with Robin in an attempt to keep Robin from taking samples of the Lazarus Pit to use to bring back his loved ones. While I-Ching chimes in with words of wisdom, Nightwing and Robin find themselves at a stand off while Talia faces off against a group of assasins by herself.
In another part of the base, Damian finds the White Ghost overseeing the loading of a helicopter as they prepare to assist the "master" in the take over of Nanda Parbat. Damian knocks out an assassin from behind and takes his place. As he walks past White Ghost, it seems he is not as sneaky as he thinks he is.
Nightwing continues his disucssion with Tim as they do battle. Tim's rationale is that since there is so much about the pit that even Batman doesn't understand, who's to say what it is or is not capable of. Perhaps his friends and family who had already been dead could still be revived and brought back to life. After all, where is the fairness in someone like Jason Todd being brought back from the dead but not his loved ones??
Dick counters by asking Tim that should he bring his loved ones back, where do you draw the line then? Do you also bring back Bruce's parents? His own? And even if they were able to bring these people back to life - that doesn't neccesarily mean they'd be bringing their souls back with them. What if the person they raised was some kind of monster? Regardless, Tim doesn't seem to register with any of this information - his losses have hurt him to the point of not even caring. Tim is just sick of having to "understand" death and the unfairness that comes along with it.
After I-Ching finally steps in Dick decides what he must do. He steps aside to give Tim access to the pit. His reasoning is that if Tim takes the sample, it means that Dick can never trust him again and probably never should have in the first place.
Tim reaches down and fills up three flasks with the magical fluid. Pausing for a moment, he reflects on those that he has lost recently - Spoiler, his dad, and Connor. But the burden of disappointing Dick seems too much and he dumps the flasks. As the two embrace, Tim apologizes for his behavior.
Once outside, the meet up with a bruised and beaten Talia. Alfred picks them all up and flies them to Nanda Parbat which is now been made visible after being breached by those considered "unholy." They arrive to find Batman being held back by several guards while it appears as though Ra's al Ghul's essence is begining to take over Damian's body. Are they too late??
