PLOT:
The Holidays are coming to Gotham and it looks as though there may just be a New Gotham in the new year! The police department is busy as ever. A crate of dolls are missing from Camp Lex and a few reports of missing babies - but all in all, compared to the past year, this is nothing that the GCPD can't handle.

Morale in Gotham seems to be at an all time high.  Gotham has survived - and in some ways thrived. Dr. Leslie says that she knows of at least 42 newborns in the past year since NML was declared. But not everyone is pleased to see the year coming to an end.

Joker is infuriated that there could be a catastrophe as large as No Man's Land that didn't involve the Clown Prince of Crime! The Joker decides to make his move to put on the greatest show ever seen in No Man's Land. "Something that'll really leave them stunned..."

Batman receives word that the Joker has gone underground and immediately begins interrogating the Gotham underground for details. No one seems to know where the Joker has gone. Batman begins preparing for the inevitable strike wherever and whenever it may come.

Gordon is re-instated as Police Commissioner and promised another 50 more men for his force sometime after Christmas. Also, despite her disapproval of their involvement with Two-Face, Sarah promotes Montoya to Detective Second Grade.

Former GCPD officer Pettit is really beginning to lose it. He refuses his men leave for Christmas, ordering everyone to be present for the militia's Christmas Eve dinner. When Foley voices his disagreement, Pettit pulls a gun on him. Huntress steps in at the last moment to keep Pettit from blowing Foley's brains out.

Finally Christmas Eve comes to Gotham City. Dick, Bruce, Alfred and Leslie are sitting down to dinner while the Gordons and the Drakes are at their own respective tables enjoying some family time. All is calm, all is bright... well, for awhile.

Pettit's Christmas Eve dinner is thrown into disarray when reports come in that the Joker has attacked. Pettit springs to action despite Huntress's warnings not to.

The Joker stands outside waiting to deliver his Christmas gift to Billy Pettit....
