GCPD sent out teams to look for it. As the interrogation got violent, Batman appeared to Akins to warn him that Joker would be doing what he was doing publicly - the city had more or less just re-opened for Christmas shopping. As they sent out more teams to check toy stores, Joker killed his interrogator, grabbed a gun and began shooting up the precinct. Sawyer stopped him with three bullets to his back. Officers finally found the bomb and the reporter with just over four minutes left. The store was evacuated and Batman arrived. All survived, but were hospitalized. Akins had the signal repaired as he spoke with Sawyer about her experiences with Superman.
