Hurst was at the judge's home, and Batman got him on the run. Batman caught up with him as he chased his prosecutor. He was inhumanly fast and powerful. When he'd been arrested, he gave no fight, and had no prior arrests. Batman caught up with him at the home of a witness to the murders. He knew Eddie was innocent, and when he told him that, the man vanished - leaving only a stone with weird hieroglyphics behind. After, the woman told him who'd killed the man's family.
