PLOT:
The Joker begins a new robbery spree based on the most requested song of the day on radio. Batman deduces Joker's targets, but he is unable to prevent the crimes. During one robbery, Robin is kidnapped. Batman then realizes that the Joker is fixing the song by mailing in hundreds of requests. He watches the mail, then follows one of Joker's thugs who mails the letters. Batman finds their hide-out, falls into a trap, escapes with Robin, then confronts his foe at the scene of another crime. This time Batman is victorious, and the Joker is returned to prison.

PLOT:
Larry Jordan has captured a gang member named Shifty. He escorts him back to town aboard an express train. However, Shifty's boss Kid Fashion is planning a train robbery. Larry allows Shifty to escape, so that he can become Air Wave. Air Wave then prevents the train robbery. In doing so he also help engineer Jed Hayes keep his perfect record for on time arrivals.

TITLE: Shorty of the Royal Mounted

CHARACTERS: Slam Bradley; Shorty Morgan

PLOT:
Slam and Shorty follow Lobo Leonard and his gang to Canada. They become temporary mounties, giving the detective authority to pursue the crooks. Lobo and his men try to eliminate their pursuers several times, but Slam and his partner escape with their lives. Shorty finally lures Lobo's gang into the open where Slam can capture them. Shorty handles Lobo himself with a specially made explosive.

TITLE: Assignment in London

CHARACTERS: Boy Commandos; Andre Chavard; Tex; Brooklyn; Alfy Twidgett

PLOT:
The Boy Commandos are asked to perform in a movie being filmed in London. On the set, Alfy receives a letter from his aunt telling him that he has been accepted at Oxford University. Though Alfy doesn't want to leave the Commandos, his teammates convince him to go get his education.

The Commandos then finish shooting their movie. However, a gang of jewel thieves attempts to steal the crown jewels. A young rodeo performer named Tex assists the Commandos in apprehending the crooks. With Alfy gone, the Commandos accept Tex as a new teammate.
