PLOT:
When a racketeer inherits a billboard business, he and his partners use them to extort money from honest citizens. The crooks blackmail people by threatening to reveal their secrets on the billboards. Batman and Robin try to stop the crooks, but find that the racket is perfectly legal. Still, they try to sabotage the billboards. The racketeers protect their signs, forcing Batman to put up billboards around town displaying the criminal records of the crooks. The racketeers are then chased out of town, ending their blackmail scheme.


TITLE: The Buzzard and the Screech

PLOT:
Gang boss the Buzzard threatens singer Hank Hottra will an extortion racket. Hottra doesn't give in, so the crook tries to kill him. Slam and Shorty save Hottra and are hired as bodyguards.

Later the crooks strike again. This time Slam, Shorty, and Hottra are kidnapped. Slam and Shorty get away and apprehend the crooks. Then they learn that the man they were protecting was only Hottra's double. The real Hottra was safe the entire time.

TITLE: Swag That Stole Itself

PLOT:
Crime boss Doc Fields devises a new way to steal using remote controlled balloons to carry the loot out windows. Air Wave follows the balloons to the gang's hide-out, but he is knocked out. The gang ties him to a balloon and sends him to his apparent demise. Air Wave awakens. Then he uses his own radio waves to take over control of the balloon, allowing him to land safely. Air Wave then uses radio waves to direct the loot and the crooks into a trap where they are easily apprehended.

TITLE: The Crooked Ghost

CHARACTERS: Boy Commandos; Andre Chavard; Brooklyn; Alfy Twidgett

PLOT:
Brooklyn discovers a gang selling food on the Black Market. His attempt to stop them fails, so he seeks the aid of the other Boy Commandos.

The boys visit the warehouse from which the food was stolen. The manager claims that a ghost is responsible for the thefts. The boys stake out the warehouse, and Brooklyn discovers the manager, Worthington, is the leader of the gang. He leaves a trail for the other boys to follow. They locate this comrade and apprehend the gang.
