PLOT:
Dr. Hans Lekter (Dr. Diehard) runs a school in Massachusetts for Meta-Humans where the children can learn a view of the world contrary to what the government and the Meta-Human act have
taught them and to lead non-violent
protests against the act all over the world. Unwilling to have violence take place in his name, Lekter gives himself over to Americommando's forces peacefully and is sent to an internment camp with other
Meta-Humans.
It is in one of these camps that Lekter watches as both of his children, Anna (Silver Sorceress) and Jack, are murdered by guards after a guard tries to rape Anna. Enraged by all of the death around him, Hans leads a violent uprising within the camp. When his rebellion fails he is rescued by
Lord Havok and recruited to the Extremists.
Back in Slovekia, Monarch arrives to the battle front with Americommando and destroys the forcefield protecting the Extremists. As Americommando's forces are storming Slovekia, Blue Jay (Adam), the man whose wife was sleeping with Americommando decides to stand up
against Americommando and don his Raven Armor and prepares to join the battle. When his cheating wife tries to stop him he guns her down and flies off in the armor.
Angered over the loss of his school and his students, Diehard challenges Havok. Havok rallies his troops to his side and orders them to kill Dr. Diehard. Unable to control herself with her church gone,
Louise explodes into the form of the demon Dreamslayer, killing Dr. Diehard. Americommando's forces arrive outside the Slovekian palace where the Extremists are holed up.

The events of this issue take place between Countdown #29-27.
