PLOT:
Donna and Kyle are trying to explain to the Justice League their situation but not much of it is making sense. Ray Palmer has gone missing - AGAIN. On top of that Darkseid has used the evil Mary Marvel to kidnap Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen in order to painfully extract the powers of the New Gods that have been stored inside the news-boy.

Meanwhile, Mary Marvel delivers Jimmy to Darkseid just outside of Metropolis. Before Darkseid can extract the powers of the New Gods from Jimmy, Superman shows up and attacks Darkseid. Forager attempts to rescue Jimmy (who comes to realize that Darkseid has put a stop to his super abilities) but is attacked by Mary Marvel.

After Mary defeats Forager she closes in on Jimmy but is stopped short by Kyle and Donna who have brought with them Black Canary and Vixen. Jimmy immediately runs to the aid of Forager when he is caught in Darkseid's powerful extraction beams that trigger a fail safe in Jimmy's programming allowing Darkseid control over his vessel.

Darkseid manipulates Jimmy's skin - turning it into kryptonite and sending him to the side of Superman. Deep inside the neural center of Jimmy Olsen however is Ray Palmer. Shrunken down to microscopic size, the Atom is attempting to dismantle the hardware placed inside Jimmy Olsen. As things continue to look more and more grim outside, Ray decides to simply dismantle the machinery, letting lose a torrent of Apokoliptian Anti-bodies which swarm and overtake him immediately.

Thankfully this is enough to allow Jimmy Olsen to regain control over himself. His skin reverts to normal (allowing Superman to heal) and it appears that now Jimmy Olsen has control over the immense power placed within him. He morphs into a giant with his Turtle-Boy powers and challenges Darkseid. If Darkseid wants the powers - he can come and get them himself!

NOTE:
Special end of issue story entitled, "The Origin of Amazo"
