PLOT:
Word of Batman's situation has apparently reached Metropolis as Superman races towards Wayne Manor faster than a speeding bullet to check on Bruce. The blur of red and blue is stopped dead in its tracks shortly before crossing the threshold where he finds a drunken Oliver Queen waiting amongst the wreckage. The two enter the Bat-Cave and find all of Bruce's work in disarray - the many trophies lie among broken glass and debris. While the realization that Batman may not be returning is sinking in, neither Clark nor Ollie seem to notice that the Suit of Sorrows has gone missing.

But the capes aren't the only ones aware of Batman's disappearance. Batgirl corners Penguin for info leading to Batman's whereabouts but the former crime boss washes his hands of the situation - his hatred for the Dark Knight rekindled now that his absence allows Intergang to run unchecked and defile his beloved Iceberg Lounge. Newly anointed kingpin Johnny Stitches offers to lend a patchwork hand but Cassandra wisely refuses.

Elsewhere, Metapmorpho and Grace pay a visit to Arkham where the inmates are overjoyed with the news passed onto them by the re-incarcerated Joker. Conversely, an exhausted Jim Gordon can only stand by vigilantly waiting for the Bat-Symbol to finally be answered by his old friend. He along with Katana and Geo-Force watch from above as a rabid Nightwing works out his aggression on the thugs below them.

The team reconvenes at the penthouse and begin to contemplate the possibly disbandment of the Outsiders. The discussion is temporarily put on hold however when Thunder races into the room to play a video she had just received. It's Batman - and he needs the Outsiders' help!
