PLOT:
Batman captures members of a criminal gang. They do not know who the gang leader is, but Batman knows that one gang member, Spike Connors, escaped custody. Batman then plants a rumor about a Bat-Ring that is cursed. Spike and the gang leader get Batman to wear the ring, which apparently works to jinx him. The gang leader then feels confident enough to operate openly. Batman was faking the jinx and once the gang leader shows himself, the Caped Crusader captures him.

PLOT:
Bruce Wayne is called to the bedside of his dying uncle Silas. Silas is disappointed that Bruce is not carrying on the family tradition of adventure.

Bruce sets out to prove himself before Silas dies. He shows up in two situations made for Batman, but he fails to help until he returns as Batman. Finally he takes down the Babyface Muller Gang. Then Bruce convinces reporters and Silas that he was working with Batman. Silas dies happy, but Bruce also tells him that he is Batman.

PLOT:
Batman's legs are injured while stopping a rampaging elephant. The underworld learns of Batman's temporary disability and begins to operate more freely. Batman and Robin use Whirly-Bats to get around. The mini-helicopters allow Batman the mobility necessary to apprehend the crooks. Despite several attempts to outwit Batman, the crooks are unable to elude capture. Batman's legs eventually heal, allowing him to return to full duty.
