Batmobile Batman Begins: Tyco R/C, 2005. SKU# H0061
In the movie Batman Begins the Batmobile can jump on its own without using a ramp. It’s seen leaping from building to building and also “flying” out of the Batcave. Tyco R/C replicated that feature on this Radio Controlled Batmobile.
This is one of the coolest R/C cars I’ve seen. The “Horizontal Leaping Action” and “Hyperthrust Speed” are just wild. The car is fast for an R/C car and the leap feature is simply amazing. Fully charged I’d say it gets about 9 inches off the ground and flies a couple feet at least. It takes at least 10 feet to get the car to maximum speed and to get the flip mechanism wound up to launch it.
It is really well balanced and it flies horizontaly and pitches the nose forward just a bit for landing. While getting the car to jump is relatively easy, getting it to jump particular items could be tough. However with patience and timing you should be able to get it to clear most small objects.
SPECS:
10 ¾” Long, 5 7/8” Wide, 4 ¾” High. Full Function Remote Control 27MHz. Horizontal Leaping Action.
PROS:
This is a dead on representation of the Batman Begins Batmobile. It is built rock solid and can take a punishing. I hit my baseboards several times racing up and back across my living room floor.
CONS:
I really can’t find anything wrong with this R/C Batmobile. The front wheels don’t turn very much, giving the car a wider turning radius than most R/C vehicles its size. Unlike the real Batmobile where the front wheels are hung from the outside, the front wheels on this R/C model have a small axle running through the nose of the car. Tyco R/C even makes a 1/6 scale version if you want one a lot bigger.
OVERALL:
This is one of the best R/C Batmobiles ever produced and that’s taking into consideration that I own the large Batmobile (from Batman) by Rich Mans Toys. It’s just that awesome.
I highly recommend this Batmobile it’s a lot of fun even if you’re not a Batman collector.
