Who better than the Joker to star in the final new episode of "The Batman" for 2007?
Premiering this Saturday, December 15 is an episode entitled "The Metal Face of Comedy," in which through an unusual accident Joker's personality is downloaded into a nanite entity, and the digitized Joker is even more threatening than the original. Kevin Michael Richardson provides a double dose of his usual sense of devious joviality as Joker. Vinton Heuck directs the script from writer Alexx Van Dyne.
The "Metal Face of Comedy" airs Saturday, December 15 at 11:30 a.m. ET/PT as part of the No. 1 rated Kids¹ WB! Saturday morning network lineup on The CW.
*Note, this episode will also guest star Nightwing.. you can see from one of the pics.. how excatly..

I was wondering how they were going to put Nightwing into an episode...a video game, meh.
This episode had potential, but went nowhere. A shape changing Joker made of nanobots was a good idea, however poorly executed into the story.
It was nice to see Harley again, even though it was a lesser role. The computer geek...I don't remember ever seeing him in an episode, was this his first appearance? I wonder if he is a regular part of the Joker crew now?
I like the fact that not every episode this season has not been a "Brave and the Bold" type story...but the lone episodes like this one and "Joker Express" weren't very good in my opinion. So far the team up episodes have been the best. No Batgirl in this one? I'm surprised they didn't use her. I didn't miss her though.
Out of all the Batman villains introduced in the series we are only getting Joker and Penguin so far. Firefly/Dr. Phosphorous was one of the few exceptions.

I haven't really watched this show since Superman's appearance, but I gave this morning a try.
The Bank-Robber-in-a-Box was cute, and Joker's computer guy sounded like he was voiced by comedian Pat Oswald (a legit comic fan). But for me, nothing really justifies turning The Clown Prince of Crime into a shape-shifting Godzilla. The Nightwing cameo was somewhat clever but disappointing; he's just too big a character to feature in such a dismal way. The Magic Bullet blender infomercial that followed was about as entertaining as this episode...

yeah..i was kind of hoping it would be an episode focused on nightwing. i imagined this digital joker to stay in the game while robin beats him up as nightwing throughout the majority of the episode.
anyway...hopefully the next episode will be better. who is it this time? aquaman? hawkman? who's left before the big one?
