I recently finished viewing my JLU Season One DVD set. For my thorough review, CLICK HERE. And a special thanks to Beyond for the tons of screen grabs.

Nice review Caleson - I'd say you got it bang on!
I've not seen the commetary of This Little Piggy - but there is no doubt that when you get that insight on where people are coming from, it can make a BIG difference! You wouldn't think so, but it does! I remember how the commentary of Critters on BTAS 4 boxset completely changed my mind about the whole episode..........
I don't recall the problems with flying vehicles animation that you talk of, but I could've just missed it.
I personally thought the diversity of characters in JLU went a bit too far; and I'd rather have seen more Batman, Superman, WW etc - but the other side of the coin is characters I really like got a look in; We get to know Green Arrow pretty well, and even Jonah Hex pops up (in one of the BEST episodes of all!).
Even with the (thoughtful) criticisms I've detailed above; and taking into account your drawbacks - I also think it's a thoroughly essential purchase..............
Good stuff.
PS - it was a mainly because I wanted to talk about Timm & Dini stuff that I came to BYTB! I think I just searched on Google and found the forums (and wanted to join in!)

THIS IS A REPLY TO CALESON'S JLU REVIEW (OR AT LEAST IT SHOULD'VE BEEN) - IF YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT, PLEASE POST IT THERE, NOT HERE...........

Thanks for the comments. RDK! I was a bit surprised that the absence of core characters like Batman and Superman didn't usually bother me. They were heavily involved in the last storyline, so that was very satisfying.
As for the bad CGI, I suppose that's just a matter of opinion. Sometimes, I thought it was pretty bad but other times not so much. I can get a bit picky with that anyway. On the other hand, some of the basic scene transitions and overall movement really surprised me with their creativity.
