Not really, but Christian Bale is apparently set to play John Connor in 4th Terminator movie ( #1 in a "new' trilogy).

Haha, awesome...
Thought I've got to wonder, what's that little dude next to Batman doing? He's just sort of standing there lol
Anyway, I don't know if I have faith in the new Terminator movies... I mean James Cameron had a really unique view on the machines and I don't know if these guys will try to replicate the feel of the first movies or keep with the third one's crappy style. And nowing the dude who did the Charlie's Angels movies is directing isn't too comforting.
But then again, Bale doesn't do the same movie twice, and he already played the leader of a resisitance fighting a superior race that was wiping out humanity in a post-apochalyptic action vehicle. So I gotta wonder what the hook that got him into this picture was.

Love the photo, inzo. I assume T4 will learn from the mistakes of T3 and take things in a different direction. T3 is somewhat like Batman & Robin; many fans clamored when it hit theaters, but over time, they started disliking and losing respect for its many flaws. I haven't seen much of the TV series, but according to my brother, a huge T2 fan, The Sarah Connor Chronicles ignores T3 from continuity and is very good. I don't expect any future film to be on par with T2, but I think the aforementioned notes, along with Bale being cast, are evident enough that T4 will be better than its predecessor in terms of canon accuracy and theme.

Speaking as another huge Terminator/T2 fan, I can agree that the TV series gets closer than T3 did. Neither one still has the feel of the first two, though. James Cameron just has such a strong style that anyone else just comes up short.

Exactly... And I just don't think a guy who goes by McG and is only known for those God awful Charlie's Angels movies would be able to do it.

I was thinking that the Terminator Sarah Conner Chronicles takes place between T2 and T3 based on the age (or appearance in age) of John Conner I the TV vs. the films. The TV show has a lot of references back to T1 and T2 laced into the storyline.
The TV show is not bad, I’ve watched them all so far and I think it is getting better as it goes along. While the TV show is no T2, it does have a fair amount of action considering it has a much smaller budget.

I need to check the show out.
As far as budget goes, it can't be any smaller than the first ones. That was really low budget film (and they still managed to make it look great), so you'd think a modern T.V. show with a relativley high (for T.V.) budget would be able to stand at the same level.

unless the company funding the show wasent shure how it would do and gave em a small budget for the first season ya know i mean just look at how far smallvile has come where clark would fly once a season for a whole 2 seconds and now karas flying every episode for a good 5 seconds lol not much differnce on time but the amount of it has changed alot. oh yeah its off topic but smallvile is the only version of superman i really care for

The big budget cut of a lot of shows is the CGI... Just look at Smallville, in one of the later seasons (3 or 4?) the showed the ship Clark came to Earth in flying... And it was CHEESY!!!! Now all the comercials I've seen for the show have Battlestar Galactica level CGI on the endoskeletons, so I'm guessing it has a good budget.
