my favorite animes-
1. teen titans (LOL! jk...ok heres my real list..)
1. cowboy bebop
2. full metal alchemist
3. samurai champloo
4. dragon ball(GOOD)/dragon ball z(okay)
alot of ppl like naruto, but i dont really like it. theyre supposed to be ninjas, but theyre wearing orange, green, pink, blue, what the crap man...what about black? lol....its about kids going to skool to learn to be ninjas to help the community. it wud be cool if it was a comedy, but theyre trying to make it all serious. which is why i dont like it. i liked the first couple episodes though.

I wonder what Batman would look like in an anime type series

If you count it (I don't), ThunderCats is the only Anime type cartoon I really like. It's only real similarity to Anime is how the story progresses and carries through from the first to last episode. I really don't care for any real Anime though. Poor animation, just lazy looking. And their just so strange...

Some series have really outstanding animation and some don't. And come on American cartoons aren't exactly known for having great animation especially these days. I see very few well animated shows from America these days, I think its American animators who got lazy.
Something like Cowboy Bebop has some of th ebest animation I've ever seen.
Anywho, I like anime because I find that the stories tend to be more mature and the shows take themselves more seriously. In most American cartoons things like stories, character development, and drama are bad. I mean I'm all for comedy but animation IS NOT a genre its a medium. again NOT a genre, a medium.
Anywho again, my favorite shows are One Piece (my favorite show/comic of all time) anythign by Shinchiro Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo) and a few movies like Perfect Blue.
If you're a fan of psycologicla thrillers you NEED to see Perfect Blue its one of the BEST psycological thrillers I've ever seen.
And if you like WW2 related drama, or are just looking to shed some tears, watch Grave of the Fireflies IMO the best WW2 movie ever.

Pretty much the only cartoons I watch are DC Comics-related or comedies like Ren & Stimpy.
I just think some Anime 'toons are incredibly strange. You've got something like Dragonball Z that's so graphic (in terms of both violence and nudity) and serious that it needs to be chopped up to be played on Cartoon Network, yet it has the goofiest, most childish stuff like that Majin Buu character who acts like an infant and turns people into chocolate.

dragonball came out before BTAS...and some of the same animators in japan made BTAS...so yeah...technically btas, jlu, stas, tt, are all anime. cuz theyre animated in japan (sometimes in korea). but we like to call them american cartoons since they dont have big eyes.
but anyways. the only reason why i dont like anime that much is because theyre not timeless like how batman is. u can never end with batman. YAY!

I hate Anime. The original Digimon series was good at the time, but that's about it.
I actually love the movie Spirited Away, though. Does that count?
Marge: Homer, I've got someone here who can help!
Homer: Batman?
Marge: No, a scientist!
Homer: Batman's a scientist.
Marge: It's not BATMAN!! |

DIGIMON IS NOT ANIME!!!!!!!
Digimon was an american CARTOON, only it was done in the same style as anime. The reason for its creation is someone thought they could hop onto the Pokemon gravy-train. It failed. The series (all of them) and the film was absolutley rubbish.
However Spirited Away was an anime, so yes it does count.
Next question, anyone watch Evangelion?*dance*
This is Gotham city.
It boasts the highest percentage of sociopathic criminals in any metropolitan conurbation.

That may be the case, but how on earth can you say that classic anime like akira, ghost in the shell, and evangelion are not timeless? Just because the creators may not actively continue the work does not mean it will hold less appeal 5, 10 or 20 years down the line.
As for a series that won't end, do you have any idea how many different series of GUNDAM has been done?

hmm...u pretty much have a counter example for everything i sed. my bad. and dont get me wrong, i like anime, but just not as much as other ppl do.
i see ppl at my skool with naruto head bands and bringing anime porn. i guess the only reason i dont like anime is cuz of the people who like it; they disgrace it. which leads teens to believe that its for geeks and nerds.

Yes it is. It was by Bandai in Japan, then they dubbed it and stuck in on Fox. And I actually prefer Digimon to Pokemon, I personally think its the better series (Pokemon just has more stayign power because of its loose story that keeps thigns going)
In Japan they're also working on a new Digimon fully CG movie, and ossibly a fifth season though no one knows anything.
EVangelion, not too into it, I mean its good and all but I've never been a fan of anythign with giant robots (Vandread and Gundam Seed where exceptions) Evangelion does have some really cool psychological parts to it though, loves that.

MMM technically your wrong. Pokemon simply was stating who ever has more power than the other person they are fighting will win. I liked Digimon better, had more of a technical storyline rather than pokemon where they acted like hobos walkeing from town to town no knowing when they're next meal was. Makes me wonder if they eve ATE any pokemon, ahahaha. Besides the only thing Pokemon could say their name and somehow all the pokemon knew exactly what they were saying. Digimon made them actually speak! now to the main thread question. Though I do like certain Anime. Shows like Noir, Sakura Wars, Teen Titans, D.N. Angel, Neo tokyo, mostly shows on the anime network. The only manga I can get into is hellsing.
