IGN has posted this list, there's some pretty funny stuff on there. I think my favorites are #5 and #1. Some of us are bound to get a little annoyed at their pick for #25, though.

There are some great (bad?) ones there, but I would've loved to have had some writeups to go with them. I remember #5 from stores, and my reaction was the same then as it is now.
#1 is indeed a classic, but something about the surreal imagery of #10 is just fascinating.

That's pretty funny. Quite a few of those I'd never seen before. I always thought it was interesting how detailed and pretty some old NES cover art could be for adventure or sci-fi games, yet the actual gameplay would often have Atari-level graphics of a few small colored blocks to represent characters. I honestly don't see how LEGO Batman could've made that list, and I don't see why Fabio should be at the top simply for the sake of being Fabio. That cover art is actually very nice compared to most of the others.

...So what in Sam Hill is Ninja Golf? I know ninjas were popular in the '80s, but come on.

Absolutely! We had Ninja Gaiden, Ninja Crusaders, Ninja Kid, Ninja Boy, Ninja Hattori Kun, Ninja Kun, Caveman Ninja, Dragon Ninja, Kamen no Ninja, Little Ninja Brothers, The Last Ninja, Shadow Ninja, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...and those were just the ones on the original Nintendo console.

I actually quite like number 10. I don't think it's bad.
I think the worst one is 15. What a load of rubbish - considering the audience they would be aiming for, what on earth do they think that will achieve? It looks like the sort of book you get at work for "training" - sort of thing that would tell you how to be a good man manager etc. Simply desperate.
7 & 9 respectively are pretty rank...
I'd also have say 22 is strange. It looks like a snap from some mums family album of her setting out in the big wide world kiddie........

I was looking at these again, and just noticed something with #10. Pac Man has his own photo on his shirt! That's just awesome to think about...just imagine him going to the mall, to one of those T-shirt kiosks. It's like the bad guy in the movie Kuffs.
