Good one!
The line is from The Princess Bride, by the character Inigo Montoya. Juan Pablo Montoya is an F1 driver who's made a move over to NASCAR with Chip Ganassi Racing. He just won the Busch race this weekend in Mexico City (I had not heard of him until this race, actually).

On first glance at your new avatar MacWage, what I can now see is a sporran, quite simply, looked like something else! |

Spencer got it (I'm just glad SOMEONE did)
I've done that for YEARS (since his rookie CART season, then his years in Formula 1). BUT, since NO ONE down here knows much about F1 or Cart, most just thought, "What the HE((?"
Now that he won in Mexico (dominated actually), more Americans, even fellow NASCAR fans know who teh heck I am talking about.
Montoya was about the only driver to go wheel-to-wheel with Schumacher in F1. I am looking forward to seeing what he does in Nascar once he is used to Stock cars on ovals (which is actually REALLY hard to drive- just ask Boris Said or one of dozens of road course stars who have tried and failed miserably to race in the top level "stock" car series, whatever the name over the decades.
As for the Batman in a Kilt,it is from cover art of Batman back in the 50s some time (forgot if Batman or Detective or which year).
The sporran is a massive fur deal like pipers wear, but serve little real purpose. I actually HATE those furry monstrosities and would NEVER wear one as he is in that pic. My sporrans are all great pouch ones that are actually VERY functional. (If anyone hasn't realized it yet, I own and wear kilts regularly in my daily life.)
A Wee Bit of explanation:
The Princess Bride: movie from the 80s that is now a much quoted "cult classic"
Indigo Montoya: Spanish sword master played by the actor Mandy P.
-He seeks revenge on the 6-fingered man who killed his father. When he meets the 6-fingered man he will (and does) say: "My name is Indigo Montoya, you killed my father! Prepare to die!"
Juan Pablo Montoya: (short and simplified version) race car driver from Columbia. He was an up and coming superstar under Williams F1 racing organization. He was "lent" to Chip Ganasi for CART (Indianapolis-stye open-wheel race cars), where JPM won a championship and the Indy 500. JPM then went back to Williams and raced and won (notably at the Monaco GP) F1 races there and for MacLaren. After a VERY rough time last season, JPM rejoined Chip Gannasi to race in Chip's NASCAR stock cars, once again as a "rookie." He is racing in the "major" Nextel Cup Series and the "minor" Busch Series. Last Sunday, he won his first NASCAR race, a Busch series road coarse in Mexico City.
I have been mixing the Indigo quote with JPM since the CART days, now I get to share with the world . . .
Sum Nox!

On F1,
YES, it is watched here and has a VETY loyal following (though the 2005 USGP did A LOT pf damage to casual views who were just confused.
I have watched about every race since 1996 or 1997 (when I got SPEED and they played them).
Right now, I REALLY MISS Eddie Jordan. The sport is just getting to antisceptic and clinical, especially with the departure of JV, Montoya, and even Schumi (who at least SHOWED emotion). I am anticipating a post race interview of blank stares and bearly a smile being cracked. When Kimi is the standard of "emotional," THAT is TERRIFYING to me.
On Renee, I have also done that version too (BUT would have posted it under another section than "Everything else."
Imagine her holding her gun and looking Two-Face in the eye saying:
"My name in Renee Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die!"
Batman reaches over and lays his hand on the gun;
Lowering it, he says, "What will vengence solve?"
Renee responds, "It will stop him, once and for all."
The police arrive and haul Two-Face away. As he leaves, he says, "She is right you know . . ."
