here's a spiderman fans opinon::: let's hear some batfans::batmanbeyond::
Spider-man has danger sense and can dodge machine gun fire. A lot of writers ignore this fact and let Spidey get hit by all manner of stupidity, but at the end of the day, Spidey is fast enough to dodge bullets and sense anything that might attack him. He's also super strong (lifting something like 10 tons (20k pounds). Batman might have a solvent for web fluid or to keep Spidey from sticking to the wall, but while Batman spent his time dealing with the secondary concerns of locomotion, Spidey would get in close and hit Batman. Batman can be knocked out by a lead pipe swung by a normal criminal. I'm pretty sure that a punch from a guy that can lift 20,000 pounds (as opposed to say 400 pounds of your average weight lifter) is going to end the fight. And that's ONE punch.
Now some people will say "well if Batman had a chance to STUDY Spider-man..." to which I say: Spider-Man is also a scientist and is no slouch at deductive reasoning. As such, all things being equal (Spidey gets time to Study batman) he's going to go for the belt and gadgets first. Next he'd blind or bind Batman. Maybe the Rhino can tear webbing from his face, but I'm pretty sure Batman isn't going to be able to tear the same stuff that can hold up TRAINS from his face. Even if he comes up with something that prevents it from sticking, it's still going to obscure his vision long enough for Spidey to punch him once in the face, ending the battle.
What if Batman used his armor as he did in Dark Night Returns when he beat up Superman? Well if you think back, Batman was only able to beat up Superman because Green Arrow launched Kryptonite at him. Since that required an outside helper, we're going to just leave him in the armor. Half of Spider-Man's villains are armor wearers in some capacity and Spidey has become very good at getting around that by either attacking the technology (ripping out chips, using water, magnetic fields, etc) or just beating up the material. The 20 ton punches will inevitably take down even the fiercest robots. If not, there's always melting it in some kind of reactor that he has access to as a research assistant.
This leaves only the obvious "Well Batman could go after Spider-Man's family!", but that almost always just tends to leave Spider-Man more determined to beat down whomever is doing it...and he ALWAYS finds out who's doing it.
In the end, all things being equal, Spider-Man would be too fast, too strong and too smart for Batman.
Quite the oposite, bats is too smart for spider-man. Batman is the most dangerous man on earth, and if he knows everything about his opponnent,he cannot be defeated. He even fought the entire JLA!!! And he probably knows everything about Spidey!

no, i agree, spiderman would hands down beat batman. although i dont think batman would go down as easily as you make it sound...
I do agree that Spider-Man would probably beat Batman, because he has spider-sense and he'd see Batman coming from a mile away. However, if Batman went insane, he could quite easily give himself superpowers or create weapons or an exo-suit or something that would give him the edge to defeat Spider-Man. You see, I think that the only thing that stops Batman from being completely invincible is his humanity (much like Superman, in a way). But that's not a bad thing.

I would have my revenge...

It can depend on the circumstances and the environment. A straight comparison shows Spider-Man's advantages over Batman in about every aspect, so yeah, he's the favorable one in that way. If the two were to go head-to-head though, I could imagine it being in an environment that Batman could use against Spidey, like causing explosions and distractions to take him off guard. That would be one of the more logical ways for Batman to win. Otherwise I agree, Spidey's got it.

i dont think batman and spiderman wud ever fight. cuz in ultimate spiderman, he had the batman logo on his refrigerader; that means hes a batman fan. lol. and besides, they worked together before. i bet spiderman and nightwing are best of friends, lol.
but if they ever did fight. spiderman wud win. cuz he can lift 10 tons (the things he lifted in the movies are nothing compared to what he can really lift. he can lift things up superman-style). but i bet batman beyond wud win. bruce's commands, terry's agility, bruce's genes, and the suit; the suit alone gives more strength, speed, etc, correct? that suit is a superpower alone. oh and im talking about the "Epilogue" batman beyond, not highschool one.
if bats and spidey went head to head, no prep time, bats loses. if both are given prep time and bats doesnt make a different kind of suit(something that could take spideys punches) bats still loses. i dont even think prep time would help bats too much because spidey is also very smart.basically spidermans spider sense is one of the biggest reasons why bats couldnt beat spidey.
I love the Web-Slinger, I really do, but you are over-glorifing the Spider sense far too Much!! He does NOT have the ability to avoid EVERY SINGLE THING THAT COULD POSSIBLY HIT HIM..
How many Spiders have you killed.. I have killed many, myself..
The Goblin, Punisher, Venom, Wolverine and many others have all proven that Spidey can me hit..
And we all know that he can also be hurt too.. It is also a matter of weither Peter Parker would be willing to do what it takes to stop Bats, if he ever had to.. In short Kill him..
Perhaps, in an extreme case if he thought Batman hurt Mary Jane, as he thought Superman did in their conflict in 75', but short of that Spidey wouldn't have the gutz to try to kill Bats if he even could.. He would most likely respect him and trust his judgement. Batman is far above Peter Parker in street savy, aswell as in matters of science.
As a matter of fact I believe that the Batman/Spiderman crossovers were very accurate. In the first one Spidey shows the Bat the respect he deserves, but didn't listen to Batmans warning to leave Gotham and it almost cost Bats his life. He was almost killed by Carnage, till the Jokers Jack in the Box made Casedy loose control of the symbiate. But, the thing I love about Bats is that if you are going to kill him, you better shut up and sure fire do it, he won't beg for mercy.. Of coarse then after that Bats smacked Casedy down with ease as he cried and begged like the scared little punk that he is.. It was cool how Spidey handled the clown too..
In the second one, Spidey made the mistake of trying to get physical with Bats and put his hand on Batmans chest on a rooftop in NY.. This is the closest that we may ever see to this senario ever unfolding in any DC/Marvel publication...
So let's study it...
Batman was quick enough to grab Spidey's hand and put it into a submission hold. Only Spidey doesn't submit and with lightning quickness pulls the reverse and flips Bats, who quickly gets up and is ready to go at it more.. Than Spidey makes a wise choice and quickly yeilds to once again befriend the Dark Knight..
It was a wise choice indeed.. Yes perhaps Spidey is superior to Bats in many ways, however he is still nowhere near the man that Batman is.. It all depends how you look at this.. If you look at like two kids meeting at the playground after school to idley duke it out.. Than maybe Spidey is the winner.. But have to look at this in a "Street Survival" seario??? That is how Batman works..
It is not about ego for him.. He is driven on purpose. He does what he has to do... What he is compelled to do.. Period.. If he dies, so be it!! He is the most determined Super Hero ever! Hands down.. And though he has no super powers persay,, the fact that he does what he does, in the super hero realm, without any super powers is in fact his super power... Make no mistake, Batman IS a SUPER-HERO!! Batman rulz!! He is the original!! Him and Supes! That is just the way it is folks..
99.999999999999% of the senarios that I can think of.. Spidey works with Bats and gives him the respect he deserves just like the 2 crossovers..
The other 1.111111111111% of the senarios.. If Batman ever needed to stop Spidey for what ever reason..
Young Parker dies....
Batman would totally kill Spidey DEAD!!! He wouldn't need Kryptonite for Spidey!!
Batman carries enough weapons on him just with his normal outfit to handle Spidey.. Any time any where!! And Bats is not weak, either.. Heck I once saw him pick up a bar-room pool table!! Those weigh 1500lbs.. Batman has as much human strength and agility as a human can have.. And with his martial art experience, he has had enough strength to pull moves on the likes of Bane, Killer Crock, and even Supreman. Batman IS strong enough to hurt Spidey..
But he would take him down with weapons.. Not even needing to resort to hand to hand combat.. Remember Marvel fans,, Batman defeated the Incredible Hulk & has bested Captain America & Dare Devil in hand to hand combat.. Batman is nearly as strong as Cap too and even Marvel would agree that Cap is strong enough to fight anyone in the Marvel Universe, even Thor..
He COULD hit Spidey and he would! He would take him down hard, fast and for good! Spidey knew that.. I am glad it happened the way it did, because Batman would have ended Spideys life up on that rooftop that night.. Spidey chose well..
Sorry folks.. Spidey was smart not to provoke Bats up on that roof top.. And he did because he knew that it would be a fight to the death and it would have most likey been his own!!!
Batman would kill the bug, just like RAID!! *jlbatman*
It's a little unfair to pit Batman against superhumans, but it is interesting to imagine how it would play out. Naturally, Spider-Man is more powerful physically, but Batman's mind is superior. He may not have Sipdey's speed, but he is also a superior fighter. He's mastered so many forms of martial arts that he's basically amalgamated them into his own unique style, and there's almost no one on the planet who can stand against him in a fight. If it came down to it, Batman can toss a handful of phosphor flares-- he's used these many times in the comics-- to blind Spidey, which would seriously impede the usefulness of that spider-sense. After all, spdiey can't dodge in several different directions simultaneously, and Batman would take him out with a few blows landed with surgical precision.
Of course, that's just one way it could play out. spidey could get a lucky hit in, and KO Bats. It mostly depends on the situation. But Batman has taken out a lot of people who were much more powerful than Spider-Man. Deathstroke is a decent DCU stand-in for Spidey, actually. He has similar abilities, and Batman has taken him down on several occasions. The guy's even taken out Predators. Ultimately, the winner is dependent on who you like best, since it could really go either way depending on many variables. So, it comes downj to who you want to win.
well Kraven the hunter was able to beat spidey and bury him alive, thinking he was dead (he later killed himself after accomplishing the "impossible"
so that was Kraven with prep time...
Batman is way smarter than Kraven and also has the money to back it what ever means he needs to beat spidey with prep time.
on a side note: spidey struggles to pay his rent, bruce can pay him to take a dive
Lets Face it!! This debate comes right down to DC vs. Marvel..
And I am sorry but, matching up Marvel to DC is like matching up a AAA Minor League baseball team to the 2005 Chicago White Soxs!
Stan Lee really messed Marvel up when he put out the Who's Who...
To say nothing of the countless plagiarism charges against him over the years for stealing the work of others..
Marvels strongest heros lift upwards to 100 tons..
Superman can handle well over 750 tons + without even breaking a sweat..
I like Marvel and they have a couple really neat original charecters.. Marvel is one of the first companies to spin off from DC, but even though they go back to the late 60's, they always have been and always will be a DC clone...
i dont know guys. if spidey had half a brain(which he has more than spidermans a smart guy) then he'd yank that belt right off of batman with a quick web yank. and with the force that spidey could tug on that web line with, dont even tell me that the belts put on tight or something. and without the belt that takes out anything that he could use to trick spideys spider sense or any kind of heavy weaponry he could use to try and take spidey down with. so ok now its hand to hand between a martial artist and a guy who takes out humans with a light tap(if you've read the spider man comics you've heard that spidey has to PULL his punches so that he wont end up severly injuring or even KILLING a human) so bats cant afford getting hit, not once, that could mean an instant K.O and without his belt bats wouldnt have anything to stall spidey with, so spidey would easily close the gap between them two and get in close enough to take batman out. let face it, bats has a MEAN punch...but its nothing that spiderman(who takes CARS to his chest and gets back up) cant take long enough to just throw 1 or 2 punches in there, dropping bats down. there is one thing batman could do, he could quickly throw some batarangs at spideys web launchers which are under his wrist and cut them off BUT if spidey can dodge machine gun fire im decently sure he could dodge 2 or 3 batarangs. as bat-fans we have to accept that there are some people batman cant defeat, this to me, looks like one of them

uh dude...100 tons is ALOTTTT!!!! even 10 tons is alot man. the things that spidey lifts up in the movies arent even close to 10 tons. lol. even if batman tried to jump and kick spiderman from up top, u wud just hear a clink and spiderman wud look at him and smile. and batman is by no means 10 tons, lol. hes 270 lbs max; nothing compared to 10 tons. i think stan lee was high or something. 10 tons is fricking crazy heavy. and if superman can lift 750 tons, then man....how can u think batman can beat him? well kryptonite, but thats cheating. lol.
Spidey can lift several tons, he can't withstand a 10-ton impact. Batman giving him a roundhouse kick would knock him down. Lifting something and taking an impact of the same weight are two very different things. for instance, I can lift something that weighs 50 pounds with ease. But if something that weighs 50 pounds hits me, I'm gonna feel it. It's the same principle.
Guys are you seriously talking about this!!!?!?!Iam 100% against super heroes fighting each other!!!!BUT there is NOWEONE out there who could beat Batman and Superman!!!!!!Its not a matter of powers its a matter of how you fight!!!!and Clark and Bruce have prove it a lot of times that they are the best of the best!!!!!Nothing against Spiderman or any other super hero they are all cool by me but not cool as THE WORDS FINEST!!!!!
