Has or is DC planning to create a "New" Batman costume with the yellow oval Bat symbol but is keeping with the black/gray colour scheme and the Year One utility belt?manbat

Not that I know of. The oval went away after No Man's Land, and I think that that is how the artists prefer it. Unless there is some preview art out there that I haven't seen, they are sticking with the big bat symbol.

I personally prefer the oval, but the only reasons I can come up with to bring it back are sentimental.

Didn't the No Man's Land have that style with the yellow oval and utility belt? It looked really, really cool. I remember in the 90s, I wasn't a fan of the big symbol. I thought the yellow oval was the definitive Batman. It wasn't until I saw Jim Lee's rendition of Batman did I start to love the big symbol.

Although I love the yellow oval symbol, I prefer the regular one, without the yellow.
It is truer to Batman's origins.

Also, I have not heard any news of the yellow oval returning!

I like the yellow oval better as well, but you are right about the non yellow oval being true to Batman's origins.
