Batmobile at RM Auctions in Miami, Saturday


The Miami Herald had Batman and Robin in the Batmobile today.

This replica is also known as ?Bat 2? and was built by Mark Racop of Fiberglass Freaks in Logansport, Indiana. They build Batmobiles.

Hey FLABAT,

Thanx for the great post here. I really liked the story in the Miami Herald about the auction. That pic was kinda funny. batman looked goofy, LOL!

I just got done interviewing Mark Racop about his fiberglass cars. here's a link to check it out!! please let me know what ya think about it.

The Hearld (as well as other news sources) also mentions that one of the original Batmobiles will be auctioned off in England. That is not true. The #1 Batmobile still belongs to George Barris and is currently in the Petersen Museum in Los Angeles, California. The other three are in the hands of private collectors.

The car being auctioned off in England is from the Cars Of The Stars Museum.

The only full daily driver Batmobiles....I don't want to forget to mention aall original shell
(thickest shell you can get )...Mark Towle is working on vehicles for an up coming movie...More details soon batman3
