Since Toy News International put this up as a sneak Peak, I'm going to also. But, Cale, We'll need to decide where to put this..LOL.
BTW, check back here on Monday at 5, BYTB is now getting the new Monthly comic previews!
UNI-FORMZ: BATMAN (MODERN)
DC Direct begins the vinylization of the DC Universe!
BATMAN is the first in a new line of large format and stylized vinyl UNI-FORMZ™ inspired by the red-hot “designer toy” phenomenon.

DC Direct joined forces with a leader in the contemporary toy movement, Monster 5, to create this powerfully built and unique vision of Batman for the first time.
This bold new take on Batman is a must-have for collectors of contemporary toy design as well as traditional fans of superheroes!

For $50 they had better be huge, at least 12”. They don’t look articulated at all so I would put them in with PVC’s and Statues and not Action Figures.

That, quite simply, is rubbish.
I'm surprised at you two too! Two of my most esteemed Batman colleagues, and you seem to be having some sort of serious discussion about it!
$50?? If anyone pays for $50 for that, then quite frankly they're potty. Keep it.
& I can't wait to see what Inzo makes of it - he's usually got a few choice words for this kind of rubbish.
Yuck. |

Wow! What an amazingly trendy new item! I'm preordering this baby as soon as possible! Everyone's doin' it!
....I'm with real-dark-knight on this one. What a load of crap. This reminds of me of that silly looking 8" Clone Trooper put out by Medicom for about $60 (CLICK HERE to see for yourself).
It almost seems that companies are really trying to pressure collectors to be "in" by paying way too much for idiotic looking, "stylized" merchandise. Sorry to be unhip, but anyone who buys this is probably either a moron or has way too much money to throw around. I'd love to see this idea tank and no one buy it, but I doubt that will be the case. I would at least hope that some collectors would take a step back before making this purchase and think, "Wait, what the hell am I doing?"

Well.. I've been doing some digging.. Here is what I found for Monster 5:

I've msged him and asked if he is the one behind it. If so, can he give us a little insight into it.

Honestly, this looks like an oddly-designed preschool toy. Something I'd expect to retail for under $10.
