Hey:

This pack was suppose to be released Monday and it wasn't. When? Also does anyone know if they could get me one and I would pay for it???

I really need this set, it has two cool figs.

Anyone--please???

callingcard, to be brutally honest, you just can't predict an action figure's release down to the day. Action figures arrive to different areas across the country at different times. Take the latest series of DC SuperHeroes for instance. Most everyone on here seems to already own the figures they wanted from it, but for me, they haven't even arrived to the most local city. Last Friday, I finally found ten of them at a Wal Mart in Iowa City (a two hour drive the opposite direction) but no Azrael.

Just be happy there's good distribution in your area (I assume there is, anyway, given your stiff anticipation). You should get it soon enough. On the other hand, I rarely find any of the Target Exclusives around here and wouldn't be surprised if the Arkham Asylum set never arrives at all.

And I certainly hope you don't think you're the only one here that "needs" those new figures. Plenty of us would like to get our hands on them; some will just have to suffer greater lengths than others. :|

Its fine, I just really would like to get this set. I am just upset because my TRU said it would in store on that date and it wasn't. I apologize.. Smile

You guys said a mouthful. I remember back in the summer of '05 when I was looking for the second series of Batman Begins action figures in TRU. A nice old employee said they'd be getting new stuff in the next Wednesday, but I sure didn't see anything new for a while after. And new WWE Classic Superstars figures haven't been available in any stores anywhere near here for over a year. Again, just goes to show that you can't predict action figure distribution.

So is this a Target Exclusive? For some reason I thought it was a Toys R Us one, but I found another new 4 Pack at TRU instead.

Michael Crawford's got up a review of the set. He says it's a TRU exclusive, which is too bad for me since there doesn't seem to be a location for many miles. Apparently, there are Target exclusive three packs of the same figures also. I doubt I'll see those either. A variant set has The Ventriloquist holding Snoots rather than Scarface, which is pretty cool, but I'm sure most collectors would want either the latter or both. Kind of annoying really...

I still have Clayface, Mr. Freeze, and Riddler carded, so considering the strange nature of The Batman releases so far, I'm really hoping that Mattel re-releases Ivy and Ventriloquist in future, smaller/cheaper sets or, better yet, individually. Hopefully, the line's not grinding down to an end like Hasbro's animated line did by tossing in brand new characters in TRU 4-packs. And at least those were only about $20 each... :|

Yeah, I read Crawford?s review after my last post. I still have not seen either the 6 Pack at TRU or the 3 Packs at Target yet.

You?re right it does look like Mattel is doing what Hasbro did in 2002 and putting out a lot of repainted figures with only a couple of new ones. I don?t think the line is ending though, I think these sets coming now are aimed at the Holiday season. Mattel still has more EXP figures coming and the new Shadow Tek line as well, so it looks like Mattel is still going strong with Batman.

That other TRU Exclusive 4 Pack I did find had a black version of Zip Action Batman, this is the second TRU set to have the all black batsuit The Batman figure. It also has Clayface (the original) and The Riddler along with a repainted Batbot Batman that is exclusive to this set.

I get really ticked off when mattel sticks figures that don't sell well into a box with new figures and calls it a package deal. The Arhham set ( which has not shown up here in any shape form or fashion, TRU, Target, etc...) has four figs that they can't give away here. The local Targets and wal-marts pegs are loaded with Riddler, Mr. Freeze, original Clayface and that specific Batman and have been for a while. I happened across my IVY and Ventriloquist on ebay and purchased them seperatly. Saved me the hassel of giving the dog yet another villan to toss around.

wink
