ISSUE SUMMARY: Darkseid has reduced Supergirl to ash when he had intended to kill Superman, but he shows no remorse. Angered, Superman battles him and forces him into imprisonment on the Source Wall. He returns to Earth, where he visits Kara, who had been spirited away by Wonder Woman using the JLA teleporter in order to fool Darkseid. He tells her that her future direction is hers to decide, and a few weeks later she makes her decision. Supergirl is who she wants to be. On Themyscira, Superman organises an opportunity for her to meet many of the major players in the super-heroic community, and Kara looks forward to meeting each one of them, learning from them and forging her destiny.
