CHARACTERS:
Huntress (Helena Bertinelli); Man-Bat (Kirk Langstrom); Oracle (Barbara Gordon); Father Mark
PLOT:
When Father Mark first came to East End's Saint Aloysius's Church he claimed that it was his faith that lead him to this troubled city. His predecessor, Father Mel, already driven to drink, warned him that this city was truly unlike any other. "Your faith won't be tested here. Here, the Beast Himself will come out and rip it from you!"
That night, his first at the Parrish, Father Mark was stabbed by a random mugger.
Over the years, through thick and thin - the Clench virus, the cataclysmic earthquake, No Man's Land, Darkseid's Fall and even the Battle for the Cowl, Father Mark held firm in his belief. Sure there were cracks here and there, but he maintained. All it took was control.
Control is something that Man-Bat is said to have recently acquired. Word is that he is now able to transform from Man into Bat without the use of his serum. But today, if Kirk Langstrom has any
modicum of control at all whatsoever he certainly isn't displaying it. Man-Bat is ripping through the city on some sort of crazed quest while Huntress trails behind him. She's supposed to be out searching for some new weapon Black Mask is rumored to have recently amassed but instead she's playing babysitter with the giant monster-man flying across Gotham. Batman is already en route to the barracks to get Langstrom's transformative serum while Robin tracks down his wife Francine.
Despite her every inclination otherwise, Helena refrains from simply killing the menace. It seems Barbara and the others have faith in Kirk. Something that the Huntress doesn't seem to share. Finally, with every other alternative exhausted she straddles the giant Bat and jams one of her arrows into his back!
The two fall from the air and crash right through the stained glass window at Saint
Aloysius. There Father Mark had been praying to God for some kind of sign - something to tell him what to do. And gazing out at his two bizarre guests, the voices in his head begin to answer.
"This Beast... This Harlot. Kill them. Prove your devotion to me. Your God commands you. Kill them Both."
And so God's faithful servant abides.

CHARACTERS:
Manhunter (Kate Spencer); Ramsey Spencer; Dylan Battles; Two-Face (Harvey Dent);
Damon Matthews; Joker; Harley Quinn (Harleen Quinzel); Riddler (Edward Nigma)
PLOT:
Dylan Battles (at least that's what his name is now a days) sits down at a bar for a drink. Bartender pours him a shot and the troubled young man begins to tell him his story.
It was your every-day American Success Story. Once upon a time, there was a man named Jim who just so happened to be very good at making technology and weaponry. Fortunately for Jim he happened to live in Gotham City. A place in no short need of random weapons and bizarre tech.
Jim worked his way up the criminal ladder until one day he found himself in the company of the city's most notorious criminal the Joker. The Crown Prince of crime tasked Jim with the one thing he couldn't bring himself to do - load public school pencils with the Joker's deadly Smylex gas. So Jim did what most do in his situation - he turned state's evidence, got himself a new identity and moved out to LA.
There, living as Dylan Battles, he befriended a woman named Kate Spencer who drafted him into her one woman war against the meta-criminals of Los Angeles. Suddenly Dylan had a whole new life on the other side. He was fighting crime and making a difference! He even nabbed himself a hot girlfriend named Cameron Chase.
But no one can run from their troubles forever. Especially not if your troubles are the Joker. When Dylan's ex and her child turned up dead with big creepy smiles stretched across their faces, Dylan decided to stop running and return to Gotham. There he found himself the employee of Two-Face which of course leads him to this bar tonight.
Two-Face just so happens to be engaged in a new and very public war with Dylan's friend Kate Spencer ever since she decided to hunt him down for a murder he didn't order. A flip of the coin later and the bartender joins the rest of his patrons with a bullet between the eyes. Two-Face decides that it's time to leave and Dylan begrudgingly follows him out the door.
It would be twelve hours before Kate Spencer would receive the call informing her of the crime scene. At that moment she is sunbathing alongside her former law partner Damon Matthews and her son Ramsey at her ex's lush pad somewhere in Hollywood.
By the time she arrives the blood is congealed, the chalk outlines are drawn and the press is all over the joint. Two-Face has left her a message. It's the front page of the Gotham Gazette. And smeared in blood across her picture are the words "Your Move Sweetheart."
