PLOT:
After stopping a group of looters and stopping the police from using lethal force against them Batman goes deeper into the Fiveways collapse in a rescue mission. A business associate of
Bruce Wayne's, Ralf Jones was having a birthday party the night of the quake - 14 days ago - and although Bruce Wayne didn't attend that night as he was requested to, he's making an effort to show up now.
Back at the "party", the survivors, after 12 days without food, are picking straws to determine who will be the next to be killed and eaten. A man named David is selected but he chooses to fight off the horde - killing one man.
After having climbed through the rubble and fought off the starving animals that were once part of Ralf Jones's personal zoo, Batman arrives. Ralf Jones is dead. He had fallen and knocked
unconscious and the group killed him and ate him to survive. All of this death - for nothing.
Batman watches the rescue copter fly away as he lets out a scream of pure rage and grief. The
echoes fade and the Batman heads out once more to try to save whoever is left to be saved in his broken city.
