Darla Aquista wants to start a new life (literally) with Tim Drake, but first she must pay her price to Johnny Warlock and kill Robin. Tim is able to convince her that there have been several Robins, and that the one who hurt Warlock is no longer active, but this isn't good enough for her - she needs to see him. Knowing that she would
recognize him as Robin if they met, Tim asks Superboy to pose as a new Robin for them, but Darla blasts him with magical energy - she believes that Robin could not possibly survive this, so she has paid Johnny Warlock's price. Thankfully, Superboy survived, though he is not best pleased with how things turned out. Tim is shocked at Darla's actions, although she claims that Johnny Warlock's influence over her is too strong to resist. He tells her that he's going away for a while, and will find someone who can stop her.
