Robin faces the Dark Rider, who rides a horse made a shadow and wields a lance that gives off a dangerous electric charge. He finds that if he unhorses the Rider, his steed fades and vanishes, and when the sun rises, the persona of the Dark Rider seems to disappear, replaced by Stanley Baumgarten, an innocent and bewildered man. Ten days later, Alfred informs Tim that his uncle Eddie has been traced, and that weekend, Tim goes to the airport to meet him.
