PLOT:
Nightwing arrives at Gotham's Gaint Stanislaus Cemetery to stop the abduction of the KGBeast's corpse by men in masks and infrared goggles. During his fight he meets up again with the flying zombie-like beast from before now wearing the wings of the slain Black Condor (Ryan Kendall). During the battle the beast decapitates KGBeast's corpse with the wrought iron letter 'C' from the front gate. The men use the beast's distraction to make off with KGBeast's head (sans body).

Nightwing tasers the beast and ties his stolen wings together but before he can get much further with the creature, Dr. Creighton Kendall (grandfather of Black Condor) is shown watching the action from an undisclosed location. He triggers a neural micro-imploder killing the winged beast. Nightwing takes the corpse to JSA headquarters in Battery Park for examination by Dr. Mid-Nite. While awaiting the results of Mid-Nite's tests, Dick takes some time out to continue teaching acrobatics to underprivileged children with Deborah and to sky-dive some more.

Dr. Mid-Nite's tests reveal that the creature was a clone of several different creatures mixed into one, combining specific attributes of each creature. Nightwing decides that perhaps it was time for him to pay a visit to Talia al Ghul at her last island base in Africa. To reach his destination Dick decides to stop by the Bat-Cave to pick up the new Bat-Wing and Robin decides to tag-along as well.

Dick leaves a note behind for Bruce that states, "Bruce - Borrowed the jet and a few other things. Have them back soon. Your Pal, Jimmy Olsen". Alfred discovers that "a few other things" must have included all of the weapons from the now depleted Bat-Cave armory. Nightwing and Robin might not know what they're going to find on the island but they are fully prepared to take down some baddies once they get there.

NOTE:
During the flight to Talia's island base Tim and Dick have a brief conversation about recent Batman events. They recount the Island of John Mayhew (which saw the destruction of the previous Bat-Wing) and Tim and Dick's fight over Tim's interest in resurrecting his friends during Ra's Al Ghul's return. Dick also learns of the deaths of Legionary, Wingman and John Mayhew.
