PLOT:
In a new comic book based on the Batman: The devil asked for peace between heaven and hell. God told him he must walk the earth in a willing human's body and fight evil. Satan found Simon Petrarch and merged with him. The devil took the shape of a Bat Man and began purging evil.

Alfred gave Bruce a copy of the book; a murder victim turned up in Gotham. "Batman" was signed in the victim's blood. The killer called in to a talk radio show.
