PLOT:
Bruce Wayne takes refuge from a storm on a small island. He rescues a young boy, Mark Desmond, who has become trapped in quicksand. After the storm, Bruce leaves Mark with his brother Roland.

Later in Gotham City, a giant behemoth which Robin calls Blockbuster begins a robbery spree. Blockbuster is impervious to physical harm and possesses tremendous strength. Batman is unable to apprehend the brute, who seems to possess little intelligence.

During one robbery, Batman follows Blockbuster back to the island where he met Mark Desmond. Noticing a similarity, Batman realizes that Blockbuster is Mark. By removing his costume, he tames Mark who recognizes Bruce Wayne as his friend. Robin apprehends Roland who then explains that Mark was the victim of an experiment to increase his size. Roland ordered him to commit the robberies.

Batman returns Roland to the mainland for incarceration. When he returns to the island however, Blockbuster has disappeared.

PLOT:
When Ralph stops for gas, the attendant tries to pay him for taking it. Curious, Ralph questions the attendant and discovers that crooks put money back into his till earlier in the day. Before Ralph can discover the cause of the reverse behavior, the crooks return. Ralph defeats them, then traces the odd behavior to a coin given to the attendant by Doc Evans, a retired police scientist. When Ralph questions him, he learns that the scientist has been experimenting with a pill to reverse criminal behavior. Radiation from the experiment must have affected the coin and caused the reversed behavior. Ralph apprehends another pair of crooks, then returns the coin to the professor.
