WRITER: Jack Miller
ARTIST: Ruben Moreira
INKER: Ruben Moreira

CHARACTERS: Roy Raymond; Karen Colby

PLOT:
Roy and Karen go to inspect a supposed growth machine in person. To their astonishment, the machine appears to work just as described! After emitting a blindingly bright flash of white light, whatever object it's placed in front of grows to gigantic size. While on location, the television detective and his secretary spot escaped robber Harry Gray, who is said to be a known associate of public enemy number one John Sawyer. The machine's inventor, John Wall, uses the growth ray to enlarge the handcuff attached to Gray's wrist making it too heavy to carry and stopping his escape.

So impressed by this feat is Roy that he invites Wall to be on "Impossible... But True!" There the inventor uses his ray to supersize a model of the French Ocean Liner "Ile De Paris" and earns himself a complimentary trip to France from the French Embassy for doing so. Unfortunately the eternally skeptic Roy Raymond had replaced the supposed "growth" bulb inside the machine with a regular extra bright light bulb and exposes Wall as a fake. It turns out Wall is actually John Sawyer. Knowing that his partner Gray was destined to be collared, Sawyer convinced Gray to let him capture him so that he could flee the company. The handcuff had been a prop and the entire scene was faked. Inside the ocean liner prop, Raymond finds the money Gray and Sawyer had stolen.
